1. Someone has to change the light bulbs and grab those things at the top of the cupboards – and the tallest guy wins.
2. You have now become a showering expert and are able to be in and out of the shower in a record of 3 minutes. However when they enter the bathroom, they actually enter a parallel universe where I am sure they catch up on a Netflix series, have an hour long soak, shave and a take a nap.
3. You are able to have a lie in, even if it is for 20 minutes. After which your children will enter your bedroom, because your husband ‘tried everything to stop them from coming in’. You refrain from asking what exactly he did to stop them, but it’s too late. They are now jumping on your head.
4. You spend the hour before bedtime winding down your children with calm activities, reading books and lullabies. Only for your husband to enter the room and get them hyped up and bouncing off the walls even before you have blinked twice.
5. You both spend your days competing who is more tired. If you are tired, you can bet he is absolutely exhausted. No one ever wins.
6. He is the only one with arms long enough to take family selfies.
7. Your children are as good as gold for him. If you have spent a whole day stopping your children from destroying the house together with endless tantrums, you will see your children magically transform into well behaved angels right before your eyes the moment your husband walks in.
8. They help us muddle our way through parenthood, make us laugh in our darkest hours, remind us things will be okay and together you make the perfect tag team.
